Privacy Policy

MuseMentor is a cosmetic guidance app that provides personalized visual analysis, AI-assisted images, reports, reviews, and step-by-step makeup tutorials from photos users choose to provide.

Account information: internal user ID, Apple sign-in identifier, Google sign-in identifier on non-iOS builds, email address when provided, display name, avatar URL when provided, session tokens, and account deletion status.

User content: photos you capture or upload, Makeup Bag product details and product photos, limited related analysis data, AI-assisted images, reports, reviews, tutorial records, workflow state, support messages, and optional beauty profile fields such as skin type, skin tone, concerns, goals, notes, and product avoidances.

Purchase and credit information: App Store product IDs, backend order IDs, App Store transaction IDs, wallet balance, credit ledger entries, refunds, and purchase support history. Apple processes payment card details outside MuseMentor.

Operational information: app events, feature interactions, upload and generation status, error messages, diagnostics, performance timing, device platform, app version where available, country-level IP/device-region signals, IP address in server logs, and security/audit logs needed to operate the service.

Website information: the public website may collect basic access logs. If Google Analytics is configured on the website, it may collect website usage data for web analytics. This website analytics is separate from the iOS app privacy label unless the same collection is added to the iOS app.

Face Data includes photos showing a face, limited facial feature positioning information used by Style Analysis, and analysis outputs based on facial appearance.

MediaPipe temporarily calculates complete facial landmarks on your device to prepare and check a photo. Those complete landmarks are not uploaded or stored. After you provide feature-specific consent and choose a feature that requires server processing, the selected photo is uploaded. Style Analysis also uploads the limited facial feature positioning information needed to produce its result; that information is stored only as part of the related analysis task and result.

Face Data is used only for the style analysis, inspiration try-on, makeup review, or makeup-practice feature you actively request; to maintain your private history; to provide support; and to keep those features reliable. It is not used for identity recognition, authentication, advertising, marketing, or user profiling.

MuseMentor does not display your photos or results publicly unless you choose to share them. AI-assisted images, reviews, reports, and tutorials may be inaccurate or affected by image quality, lighting, pose, hair coverage, and model limitations.

MuseMentor is for cosmetic guidance only. It is not medical, dermatology, mental health, or identity-verification advice.

We use information to authenticate users, maintain sessions, provide requested visual analysis and image generation features, organize products in My Makeup Bag, store history, manage credits, verify App Store purchases, prevent duplicate crediting, process refunds when applicable, respond to support requests, protect against abuse, debug errors, and maintain service reliability.

We may use aggregated operational data to understand performance, failure rates, and product quality. We do not use your selfies for third-party advertising.

Face Data is shared only with Tencent Cloud and Volcengine for the feature you request. Tencent Cloud provides app-controlled data storage in Virginia, United States, and image-processing services. Volcengine, including its Ark and Doubao services, processes uploaded photos and related Face Data in China only to complete the requested operation and does not retain that Face Data after processing.

We also use providers for account sign-in, in-app purchases, email support, operational diagnostics, and website hosting or analytics. Those providers do not receive Face Data for those services.

Tencent Cloud and Volcengine may use Face Data only to provide the specific feature you requested, may not use it for their own purposes, and must provide the same or equivalent level of protection required by this Privacy Policy and Apple's applicable requirements. We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a business transfer.

We do not sell personal data. We do not run third-party ads in the app. We do not track users across other companies' apps and websites for advertising or advertising measurement.

Uploaded face photos, analysis tasks, results, and Makeup Bag product photos in MuseMentor-controlled storage are retained until you delete the related record or your account.

Limited facial feature positioning information from Style Analysis is part of that task and result and follows the same retention period.

You can delete individual history items from History, manage or delete Makeup Bag products from Profile, and delete app account data from Profile. Deleting a record or account deletes the associated photos, Face Data, analysis results, and other app data controlled by MuseMentor.

Volcengine does not retain Face Data after completing the requested processing.

You can choose not to upload a photo or not to save optional beauty profile fields. Some features require account sign-in, photos, credits, or purchase records to work.

You can manage and withdraw Face Data consent separately for each feature from Face Data Authorization in Profile. After withdrawal, the feature asks for consent again before opening photo options. Withdrawing consent does not delete existing records; you can delete them from History or delete app account data from Profile.

You may request access, correction, deletion, or other privacy help by emailing ttmeigou@163.com from the email associated with your account. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

MuseMentor is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child provided personal information, contact ttmeigou@163.com.

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, including authenticated sessions, server-side purchase verification, access controls, and object storage controls. No online service can guarantee absolute security.

MuseMentor-controlled data storage is in Virginia, United States. Volcengine processing occurs in China. Those locations may have data protection laws different from your home jurisdiction.

We may update this Privacy Policy as the product, providers, legal requirements, or data practices change. The updated date at the top of this page shows when the policy was last revised.
